Take short baths
If you need to take a bath, it's okay to use the boiler to heat the water if you want to. Just make sure you're worrying about the world and taking a short bath of 15 minutes or less.
Use less vehicle engines
If you are going to ride a car, make sure you have more than 1 person in it. To do something better, ride a bus or a train. This will help with having more people in only one vehicle. Even better, ride a bike! This will help with using no engines, but then it needs your strength to push the bike forward.
No Shooting Guns
Criminals sometimes like to shoot with guns because they are really mad at someone. Please don't be one of those people. Some cities even offer money if you return them your guns.
Plant more trees
Plant more trees or other types of plants. Avoid making big cities or cutting trees. Trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe. Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding. Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat. Trees provide food, protection, and homes for many birds and mammals. Can trees save the planet?
As trees grow, they help stop climate change by removing carbon dioxide from the air, storing carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere. Trees provide many benefits to us, every day.
Avoid Smoking
Cigarette and e-cigarette waste can pollute soil, beaches, and waterways. Studies have also shown that cigarette and e-cigarette waste is harmful to wildlife. It may also be harmful to the human body. Smoking causes cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases, diabetes, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), which includes emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Smoking also increases risk for tuberculosis, certain eye diseases, and problems of the immune system, including rheumatoid arthritis.
Why is it important to help the Earth?
It underpins our economy, our society, indeed our very existence. Our forests, rivers, oceans and soils provide us with the food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we irrigate our crops with. We also rely on them for numerous other goods and services we depend on for our health, happiness and prosperity.
